March 2003. We were coming back home after a drunken holy week night at San Carlos, when my friend Carlos's car just died. In the pic, my friend Vianey and I, hungover, sleepy and cold, just waiting on the curb.

This is one of my most treasured photos. It's a shame the quality is so shitty.

It was December 2023. We were in Mazatlán for a wedding. The morning of the party, while the women were all getting their hair done, I took my dad for a coffee at a local Starbucks. We talked for a while and had a great time.

I remember having a black coffee. My dad had a latte. And the two of us ate a bunch of dulce de leche cookies.

I snapped this pic of him because I liked his looks with that hat.

I snapped this photo sometime in 2021. He wasn't putting out a show, he was just waiting for dinner. It still cracks me up today, 5 years later. 😂

Almost everyone at LoanPro's technology department met in San Carlos, MX for our yearly developer conference. It was a week full of work, fun, making friends, and replacing avatars for real faces :)

Foreigners tried bacanora (a type of mezcal from Sonora, my state), and I had the fortune of trying Fernet con Cocacola with my new argentinian friends.

Return from Sedona

Obviously, the return from this was also nice.

We hiked to a catholic church on top of a hill (crowded but beautiful, and the weather was nice). Then we hit some stores and went back to Tucson.

Dulce and I went to our favorite taproom, Traxxide, then waffle house next morning before heading home.

New Years in Sedona

We weren't planning anything special for New Year's this year, but suddenly, a friend invited us to join them and their friends to a trip to Sedona, Arizona, to spend a few days.

We took out the calculator, made arrangements, and hit the road. It was a lovely trip. Cold weather, lots of beer, lots of laughs, cooking all day everyday, and making new friends with the group that invited us. Beautiful people. Ppon, Elia, Ale, Isaías, Diego: you rock!

I had never made a trip for New Years, and I could get used to it :)

Xmas Eve 2025

This was our first christmas together as a family, and we kept it simple. Gifts for the kids, a nice dinner (lasagna for them, pork loin for us). I took the chance to bake some dinner rolls.

Alan insisted on flan for dessert, but my kids are like Michelin inspectors, so we had to make it from scratch. It was fkn delicous.

Birthday Goat Yoga

It was Dulce's Birthday, and she's been talking about this Arizona Goat Yoga thing for months, so we made a little weekend roadtrip-celebration.
