I'm Axel. I work as a UI Engineering Manager. I do front-end code, design, and graphic arts. Here’s my resume if you’re into that kind of thing.

I'm trying to get away from the notion that what I do defines my worth, but everything is still a blur in that department. I know the confortable thing is to say I'm worth just for being myself, but I would be lying if I said I believe that. I subscribe to the Stoic philosophy, and I'm currently working on accepting and loving my present as the only reality, and embracing disconfort.

I've been trying to write more for the last 20 years. I'm into music, movies and TV. I believe the secret to enjoying something is not becoming an expert in that something, and still I nerd obsessively about everything I like.

Why this website?

Because I like to write and share. I've found that the best way for me to learn things is to write them, and that's also why I take notes and journal. This website is public, though, and that adds another layer: I want to be responsible for what I share, so I do research, compare my notes with others, and make sure I back up whatever I say. That brings benefits in the learning department.

Also, I like attention. It gets me anxious, but I like it. I will never admit to it, though ;)
